He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Thornton and Melba Thornton (Sparkman). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Thornton of Macclenny; his children, Vanessa Smith (Mike), Billy Thornton (Henry) of Jacksonville, Kennth Thornton, Jr. (Tammie) of Taylor and Jennipher Phillips (Tommy) of Macclenny; and his sister Robin Martell of Taylor. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
