He is survived by: his children, Sherilyn Reynolds and Ricky Alan Higginbotham (Lee); his daughter-in-law Kay Higginbotham of Glen St; and his grandchildren, Deedra Dinkins (Ronny), Becky Raulerson (Jamie), John David Higginbotham, III (Virginia), Bryan Higginbotham (Jenna) and Richard Higginbotham, Jr.. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
