With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan E. Fosaaen of Georgetown, Florida, born in Warren, Ohio, who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Greenwalt and Retta Greenwalt (Simon); her siblings, James L. (Jean), Richard (Frances), Raymond (Jackie) and Marjorie Griffing (Dick); her children, Shirley Ann Matson Beeney and Don Allen Matson; and her stepchildren, Dale Benson, Edwin Disch and Ruth Disch.
She is survived by: her former husband Don A. Matson; her son Hugh Michael Matson (Hae Kyung) of Phoenix, AZ; her husband Marvin of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Alison Matson, Heather Livengood (Isaac) and Michael Matson (Krystale); her great grandchildren, Kya of Phoenix, AZ, Theodore of Phoenix, AZ, Marvin of Phoenix, AZ, Dahlia of Phoenix, AZ and Skylynn of Phoenix, AZ; and her stepchildren, Dennis Benson (Michelle), Jerry Benson (Sherrie), Carol Long (Richard), Terry Benson, Willis Disch (Linda), Larry Disch (Linda), Donna Mulhollon (Leonard) and Dorene Disch. She is also survived by many step-grandchildren, great grandchildren great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
