With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Meeks (Georgetown, Florida), born in Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on January 25, 2020 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Meeks of Georgetown; his daughter Amanda Carrie Norton of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; his siblings, Thomas Vertis Meeks (Ann) of Bremerton, Narvin Eugene Meeks of Bartow, Linda Elizabeth McDuffie of Lakeland and Deborah Annette Rogers (David) of Bartow; and his granddaughters, Tallulah Rose Norton and Sadie Rose Norton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in honor of his memory to Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Florida 32177 or to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
