He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Howard Sands and Elsie Ann Baisley Sands; his wife Joan Sands; and his children-in-law, Kenny Cain and Rene Sands.
He is survived by: his children, William Howard "Billy" Sands Jr. of Alachua, FL, Jason Lee Sands, Janice of Neptune Beach and Coral Ann Cain of High Springs, FL; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Katey, Will, Tiffany, Mike, Shayna and Faith; his great grandchildren, Zack, Kaelyn, Aiden, Miley, Nikolai, Sasha, Viktoriya, Tatum, Tucker, Alyssa, Truitt, Tobi and Tait; and his great great grandchild Abigail Lynn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
