He is survived by: his children, Helen Preus (Paul), William "Bill" Carroll (Marsha) of Gilbert, SC, Walter Carroll (Brenda) of Quitman, GA, David Carroll Vidalia (Jane) and Marty Null (Eilleen) of Madison, FL. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
