With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Riherd Carter of Gainesville, Florida, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on April 6, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Paul Markey Riherd and Gerald M. Carter, Jr. of Charleston; and her daughter Shelley Wilson Riherd Griffis. She is survived by: her children, Martha Riherd Weller (Robert), Brooke Riherd Douglas (William), Harriet Riherd Haynes and Thomas Malcolm Riherd (Barbara). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren.
