Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marjorie Lorene Patton (Gainesville, Florida), who passed away at the age of 96, on April 19, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband William Joseph Merrel Patton; her parents, Perry James Hollingsworth and Fay Myrtle Kite Hollingsworth; her sisters, Margaret Hollingsworth, Betty Pons, Joann Parker and Helen Sakalarios; and her son-in-law Marion Eugene O'Quinn.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon O'Quinn (Gene), Garron Patton (Linda), Andra Higgins (Ed), Joel Patton (Tina) and Kevin Patton (Tina); and her grandchildren, Perry O'Quinn (Heather), Amy Whitworth (Daryl), Cale O'Quinn (Trang), Melissa Steele Eyster (Jay), Lorrinda Patton Aycock (Wes), Garra Patton (Mike), Quint Higgins (Noveline), Brad Higgins (Diana), Lindsey Patton Walker (Dave), Brandon Patton (Marissa), Rita Smith, David Paul Patton, Thomas Patton (Ciera) and Luke Patton. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (401 SE 21st Ave, Gainesville, FL 32641). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Drury INN & Suites (4000 SW 40th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32608).
