She is survived by: her husband George W. Thomas; her daughters, Donna Thomas of La Plata, MD., Carol Thomas of Gainesville, Laurie Thomas of San Diego, CA and Karen McGhee (Tony McGhee) of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Chris Taylor, Catie Taylor, Hunter Eisenbrown, Kelli Eisenbrown, Jessica Schwartz (Jarret Schwartz), Jordan McGhee and Rachel Kiefel (Kyle Kiefel); and her great grandchildren, Dylan Taylor and Lela Jane Schwartz.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 3:30 PM at the United Church of Gainesville, 1624 NW 5th Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the youth mission at United Church of Gainesville, the Studio Percussion Music and Dance Center, or the music and arts programs of Alachua County Schools.
