It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathleen L. Horton of Gainesville, Florida, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Klee and Myrtle Klee; her husband Reginald; her children, Joseph Horton and Virginia Murphy; her sister Marie Cunnup; and her grandchildren, Adam Campbell, John Lee III, Henry Lee, Teresa Bessett, Brian Lieneman and Billy Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Shirly Campbell of Ocala, Donna Harden (Dennis) of Trenton, Viola Travis (Robert) of Trenton, Reginald Horton, Jr. (Cheri) of Ocala and Kathleen Kingston (Ron) of Lake City, Florida; her son-in-law Gary Murphy; and her siblings, Dr. George Klee of Minneapolis, Dr. Karl Klee of Pennsylvania, Richard Klee of Elmira, Dr. Fredrick Klee of Phelps and Christine Arnold of Elmira. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Forest Meadows Funeral Home (725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32609). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Forest Meadows Cemetery (West) (700 NW 143rd St, Newberry, FL 32669).
