He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Hart and Willie Batey; and his siblings, Diane Thomas, Jimmy Hart, Ernest Batie and Kevin Batie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carmelitta Strickland (Reginald), Stacey McGinnis-Cason (Alford), Wanda Frazier (Darryl) of Miami and Schnecia Batie; and his siblings, Gale Batey, Angel Ross (Donald), Sabrina Felder (George) and Thomas Batie (Edna) of Dayton, OH.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and endearing friends.
