In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gwendolyn leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Gwendolyn may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bobbie Simmons (James Watson) and Johnny L. Gilbert Sr.; her siblings, Courtney Gilbert, Johnny Gilbert Jr. (Lonetta), Melissa Gilbert, Eric Brooks and Matthew Scott Jr.; and her grandchildren, Marcus Brown Jr. and Makenzi Brown. She was also cherished by Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, extended family and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Upper Room Ministries (3575 NE 15th St, Gainesville, FL 32608).
