He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Buchanan Sr. and Louise Buchanan; his wife Felor Buchanan; his children, Jewell and Iraj; his stepchildren, Mojdeh and Lily; his siblings, Hazel Brooks, Antionette Buchanan, Debora Denise Buchanan, Jesse Bernard Buchanan, Tony Foster and Tonie Buchanan Grayson; and his friend Clovis Watson Jr..

In lieu of flowers, an educational trust fund is being established for Dr Buchanan's children. Donations are welcome.
