He is survived by: his wife Shirley Whitaker; his daughter Lawanda Wade; his siblings, Ms Patricia Green, Jimmy Sutton and Bud Sutton; his grandchildren, Quante Whitaker, Latesia Fisher and Elisia Fisher; his siblings-in-law, Lester King (Doris King) and Carolyn Matthews; and his nephew Lester King Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and friends.
