She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie August and Florence Sullivan August; her daughter Peggy Raker; and her siblings, William David Sullivan, Hughie Smeltzer and Betty Jones.

She is survived by: her husband Belvery Castle; and her sister Cora Lee Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
