He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Evelyn Stockwell Mathews; his sister Deana Ethridge Brown (Scott); his niece Sara Froelich Friedel (Jonathan); his uncle Asa Clyde Mathews (Diana); and his friends, Sadie (Lab), Sam (Lab) and Pretty Girl (Rescue Cat).
