We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2024, at the age of 90, Sammy Gene Greenway of Frostproof, Florida, born in Swainsboro, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Sammy Gene has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sanford Jordan Greenway and Nana Lou Brantley; and his brothers, A. S. "Harold" Greenway and Robert Sanford Greenway. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Smith Greenway; and his children, Deneen Greenway Wright (Jeffrey) of Frostproof and Adam Wade Greenway (Carla) of Frostproof. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Frostproof.
