He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Applegate and Gladys Applegate; and his brother Michael Joseph Burke. He is survived by: his wife Patty Applegate; his sons, Robert Applegate, Jr. of Paoli, Dan Applegate (Leigh Ann) of Anderson, David Applegate (Elaine) of Fortville, Jeff Applegate of Frostproof and Patrick Applegate (Michalle Smith) of Frostproof; and his sisters, Karon Pharis of Noblesville, Cindy Swango (Jim) of Saint Petersburg and Vicki Baily (Gary). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
