She was predeceased by: her mother Lillian Jane Turpin; and her children, Curtis Wayne Kern and Melissa Colmenares. She is survived by: her husband John C. Kern; and her daughters, Theresa Hernandez of Frostproof, Kimberly Smith of Spokan and Pamela Jane Kern of Arizona. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
