It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Newell Anderson Smith of Frostproof, Florida, born in Lake Wales, Florida, who passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth (A. M. Smith) and Andy; his wife Carol Wardlaw Smith; and his former wife Maribeth Fogle Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Wade and Stephen (Melodie); his siblings, Mary Catherine McDowell (Rodger) and Jimmy (Jenny B.); his grandchildren, Kailey Palmer (Angus) and Jakob (Kyla); and his great grandchild Knox Anderson Smith. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
