With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James F. Briggs (Frostproof, Florida), born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on December 24, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel T. Briggs and Thelma Bowsher Briggs; his former wife Fern "Sue" Long Briggs; and his siblings, Karl Briggs (Bud), Tom Briggs, Larry Briggs and Peggy Biller.
He is survived by: his wife Carlene Phillips Nicholson; his children, John Briggs (Debbie) of Bowling Green, OH, Lisa Shreve (Paul) of Cary, NC, Tracey Briggs of Pemberville, OH, Damon Nicholson (Donna) of Frostproof, FL and Shellie Edstrom of Frostproof, FL; and his siblings, Linda Briggs Allen of Portage, OH and Lowell Briggs of Elmore, OH.. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, and his seven great-grandchildren.
The family has requested, if you wish, remembrances be made in the form of donations to Breast Cancer or Alzheimer's organizations in Jim Briggs name.
