He is survived by: his wife Sharon Byers; his children, Jennifer Thompson (Alan) of Frostproof, Jodi Byers of Marian, OH, Carla Byers of Lansing, MI, Stephanie Byers of Kalkaska, MI, Ryan Byers of Kalamazoo, MI and Matthew Byers (Malynela Cole) of Traverse City, MI; and his sister Connie Towne (Don) of Trevor City, MI. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
