He was predeceased by: his parents, George (Mary Lanier) and Frostproof; his wife Rose Lanier; and his brothers, George Lanier and Junior Lanier.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Spradley and Alfred Lanier, Jr.; his granddaughter Rosemary Fuqua (Lee); and his great grandchildren, Gabby, Carlton, Nathaniel and Francis.
