He is survived by: his parents, L. Durand Peterson and Janice L. Peterson; his wife Valerie Peterson of Freeport, Florida; his children, Kristine Green (Matthew) of Americus, Caroline Hawkins (Jake) of Birmingham and Mitchell Peterson; his siblings, Doug Peterson (Martha) of Jamestown, Paul Peterson (Kirsten) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Julie Peterson of Jamestown; and his grandchildren, Silas, Harper, Collins Green, Noah and Asher Hawkins.
