He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dennis Frye and Daisy Lee Frye; his son Gilbert Lee Frye Jr.; and his brothers, Victor Frye and Winfred Frye.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie F. Frye of Miramar Beach, FL; and his children, Stanley Frye, MD, Jack Freeman of Birmingham, AL., Steve Freeman (Beth) of Macon, GA., Terri F. Stansell, Michelle F. Gosnell, Myra F. Marshall and Eloise Frye. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
