He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Joyce Hancock; his son Wayne H. Hancock, Jr.; and his siblings, John E. Hancock, Arthur F. Hancock, Sarah A. Hall and Frances L. Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Robert D. Hancock (Kathy) of Altha, Brenda Joyce Chapin (Steve) of Crystal River and John A. Hancock (Melinda) of Fort White; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Hancock; and his brothers, Robert V. Hancock (Eldeen) of Winter Haven and Joel Hancock, Sr. (Betty) of Plant City. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren along with many he consider his grandchildren.
