He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Denton and Annie Belle Whitaker-Denton; and his siblings, Barnie, Melba, Barbara and Joanne.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Denton; his daughter Martha Ray Jenkins (John); his siblings, Carlene Arban and Mike Denton; his grandchildren, Angela Jenkins, April Cowdrey (Steve) and Stephen Jenkins; and his stepchildren, Sheree, Cynthia, Lisa, Joel and Donna.
