He was predeceased by: his mother Ora Mae Jones. He is survived by: his father Joseph Henry E. Avery; his wife Mable Jones-Avery; his children, Jsana Jones, Katherine Herrmann (Rodney), Micah Jones, Johanna Henderson (Ryan) and Jarvis Jones; his grandchildren, Dominic Jones (Ashlee), Cameron Kyler, Ajsa Taylor and Davin Herrmann; his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Keneimah, Bella Rose, Kairin and Leo; his siblings, Mary Jiles, Cynthia Johnson, Harold C. Jones, Gail Martin (Jackie), Greta Jones Sanders, Delyene Sanford (Bernard), Bernadine Boyd (Toni), Tammy Anderson, Dellaoise Sanders, Ginia Avery and Loretta Avery-Pete (Jamal); and his brother-in-law John D. Simpkins, Jr. (Venelean). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
