He is survived by: his wife Dannette Reid Pender; and his children, Virginia Holt, Phyllis Wilson (Jim), Willard Edwin Pender (Dean), Patricia Amick (Tim), Cora Hayes (Carlisle), Dan Micah Pender (Gay), Timothy Howard Pender (Carrie) and Reuven Refaelov.
