It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Fred Kammerer (Fort Walton Beach, Florida), born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Kay Miller; his wife Virginia Kammerer; and his daughter Heidi Alcala. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

“Is this the William Kammerer that lived in Newark, N.J. in 1954 and joined the AF, went to Kessler AFB in 1955? If so, he was my friend and convinced me to join the AF in 1954. I joined him at Kessler AFB in 1955 and we stayed friends for a long time after. Saw Bill at Stripes Pub in Navarre last year. Enjoyed our re-union. John Denys ([email protected] Jacksonville, FL.”
