He is survived by: his parent Menard Vaughan Shipman of Augusta; his sister Jackie Walters of Augusta, Georgia; and his children, Tripp Shipman of Panama City, Susan McLaugherty of Tallahassee, Martin Shipman of Tallahassee and Ellen Pursell of Sylacauga Al.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee Fl. 32308.
