He was predeceased by: his parents, W. R. "Bob" Hutchison and Dolores Caldwell; and his sister Elizabeth Risalvato. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Armstrong; his children, Jennifer Hollis (Clayton) and Jordan Hutchison (Katie); his grandchildren, Landon and Lainey; the mother of his children Alicia Hutchison; and his siblings, Susan Sproul (Jim), Anne Lavigueur (Marcel), Bobby Hutchison (Brenda) and Pat Hutchison (Laurie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Embrace Alabama Kids (formerly named United Methodist Children's Home).
