She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome Watson Eckels and Louise Gulledge Eckels; her husband John R. Pettey, Jr.; her sister Judith Herndon of Macon, GA; and her niece Susan Castleman.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Pettey (David Miller), John Robie Pettey, III, Diane Pettey of Pottstown, PA and David Pettey (Kathryn Haines) of Flourtown, PA; and her granddaughter Hannah Miller. She is also survived by two nephews and numerous Great nephews and nieces.
