He is survived by: his wife Shari Flowers Bruns; his sons, Sims Bruns (Brooke), Field Bruns (Wende Reed), Gavin Bruns and Mason Bruns; his grandchildren, Payton, Benjamin, Finley, Lilac and Miles; his sisters, Susan Quinn and Pam Kirby (John); and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Ostendorf (Trey), Katy Pyle (Damian), Rodney Quinn (Sandra), Jason Quinn (Abby), Aaron Quinn (Bridgett), Ben Kirby (Kaitlyn) and Brad Kirby. He is also survived by four sons.
