He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Shelley and Lessie Shelley; his wife Wilma; his son Charles Edward; and his brothers, Wade and Winston.
He is survived by: his sons, Gerald Glenn and James Timothy; his grandchildren, Lori Hearn (Thomas), McKenzie Smith (Gary), Glenn Ross Shelley (Kimberlee), Morgan Smith (Travis) and Tayler Shelley-Frakes (Kathryn); his great grandchildren, Gracie Hearn, Grey, Marlyn, Sadie, Otis, Oscar Smith, Kennedy Moore and Milena; and his brother Bennie Frank (Janie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In his honor, donations can be made to First Baptist Church.
