It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christina Slattery Wendlandt of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, born in Albany, New York, who passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richard Slattery II and Helene Slattery (Campion); her husband Col. Richard T. Wendlandt; and her siblings, Andrew, John, Richard and Mary Lou Zaferakis.
She is survived by: her children, John O'Brien (Cristina Restrepo) and Kate (Aaron Barta); her grandchildren, Kolbe, Mercy, Joseph, Hosea, Norah, Bosco, Daniel and Marietta Barta; her sister Anne Slattery; her niece Lisa Zaferakis; and her nephews, Andrew Zaferakis and Stephen Slattery.
