He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Linda Cox, Phil, Rosemary and Shirley Slaughter. He is survived by: his parents, David Eugene Cox and Phyllis Slaughter Gomes; his stepparents, Gary Gomes of Union City and Amy Cox of South Fulton; his sister Julia; his brother-in-law Dakota Lewis of Union City; his half-sister Ashley Lawrence of Memphis; his brothers, Ray, Shea and Zach Gomes; his grandfather Travis Cox of Nashville; his nieces and nephews, Kinzleigh, Kaizie Lewis, Xander and Xaiden Lewis; and his pet Max.
