He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Crutchfield Carithers; his grandparents, Oliver, Eldora Crutchfield, Vinson Sr. and Willie Mae Goddard Carithers; and his aunts and uncles, Dealva Holloman, Willie Mae Wilder, Laura Powell, Josephine Hope, Willie Pearl Adkins, Laura Whitehurst, Thelma Carithers Adkins, Marguerite Lofton, Henry Crutchfield, JC Crutchfield, Oliver Crutchfield, Jr., Johnny Crutchfield, Willie Crutchfield, Willie James Holloman, Sr., Milton Carithers and Elloease Crutchfield Paschal.

He is survived by: his father Vinson Carithers, Jr. (Linda); his son Zaccheus Jerel Rigby; his girlfriend Wanda Willis; his siblings, Angelia Matthews (Kevin), Pamela Carithers, Nicole Smith (Al), Carla Pryor and Eric O'Neal Carithers; his aunts and uncles, Lillie Pearl Gavin, Queen Carithers, Christine Travick, Geraldine Need (Alexander), Jimmy Carithers (Laura) and Lee Carithers (Mary); and his grandchildren, Camarion Rigby, Zani Rigby and Zachai Rigby. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
