He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Sparkman Sr. and Rosalie Sparkman; his grandparents, Tom and Emmaline Reynolds; and his brother Robert Sparkman.

He is survived by: his siblings, Lawrence Sparkman, Jr., Frankie Sparkman, Alvin Sparkman (Gayle) of Fort Pierce, Jeanette Mills (Clarence) of Orlando, Mary Sparkman and Jane Sparkman; his uncle Rev Joseph Reynolds; and his aunt Lucille Golphin (Bobby) of Fort Pierce. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
