He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherwood Sr. Starbird and Lucille Starbird; his siblings, Rea Andrews, Shirley DuBois and Stephen Starbird; and his son Rick Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Waters-Starbird; his sisters, Sandy Avrett and Susan Wissman; his children, Sherwood Starbird III (Kimberly Starbird), Marchell Miller (Rick Miller), Paul Starbird, Thomas Rose, Charles Waters (Meghan Waters) and Sherri Starbird (Dave Sujdak); and his daughter-in-law Tawny Rose. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
