He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Carey and Nellie Beirne; and his siblings, Helen Hoffman, Joseph, Carl, Jackie, Leonard and Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth H. Ivans Carey; his daughter Susanne; his son-in-law David Smith of Port St; his daughter Barbara Chintala of Wrightstown, NJ; his granddaughters, Jennifer (Michael Benedetti) and Heather Smith of Port St; and his great grandchild Kolten Hawker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held for Robert at a future date due to COVID.
