It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Popo Hosein of Fort Pierce, Florida, who passed away on June 7, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Popo Hosein to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Fizan Ali Hosein; her son Suresh Maharaj; her grandson Nicholas Kahn; and her sisters, Molly Ramnarine and Mintee Ishmael.

She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Oliver (David), Celia Klaver (late Lou) and Sonja Maharaj; and her siblings, Joe Ramkissoon, Ram Ramkissoon, Mamin Leesing, Polly Clarke and Cintra Kanhai. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

We enjoyed visiting her homes in in Trinidad, Lancaster, PA, and in Laurel Point Care Home, Fort Pierce, FL.. I last saw her on a FaceTime visit June 5 when she said “that is Cintra, my little sister.” She was dearly loved and we will always be missed. May she find eternal peace in God’s loving embrace.”
