He was predeceased by: his former wife Joan Sponenburgh; and his children, Brian, Gregory Sponenburgh and Diane Suranno. He is survived by: his wife Marline Sponenburgh of Fort Pierce, FL; his children, Sharon Merritt (William) of Livonia, MI, Susan Long (late Michael) of Maryville, TN and Mark Sponenburgh of Wixom, MI; and his stepsons, David (Barb), Gregory Mitchell (Janette) of Mississauga, ON and Kevin Mitchell (Eleanore) of Squamish, BC. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
