He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Johnson and Julia Capers; his wife Valarie Johnson; and his sisters, Ann Mae Roper and Adell Byrd.
He is survived by: his children, Pricilla Johnson Campbell of Newburgh and Jesse Johnson, Jr. of New Jersey; his siblings, Ruby Johnson of Fort Pierce, Ruthie Mae Patterson of Newburgh and Roosevelt F. Johnson of Miami, FL; and his close friend Dorothy Black of Newburgh. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, cousins, in-laws, and devoted friends.
