He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Haddock McGowan and George Thomas McGowan Sr.; and his nephews, Tony Wyrick and Rob McGowan. He is survived by: his children, Susan Rich McGowan, Audrey Scott McGowan and Jack Landis McGowan II; his grandchildren, Justin, Jordan Osborne, Violet and Ellery Martin; his great grandchildren, Parker, Carter Osborne, Keeleigh and Kennedy Osborne; and his grandmother McDonald Turner of Southport, NC..
Jack requested no flowers; however, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
