She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe Thomas and Elder; her brothers, Willie James Thomas and Ervin Fance, Jr.; her husband Johnnie; her son Steven Eugene Hodge; and her cousin Beatrice Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Calvin "Fly" Hodge, Michael Wayne Hodge (Patrick) and Evelyn Hodge; her goddaughter Telekia Nelson; her siblings, Evangelist Minnie Lee West, Aggie Thomas, Edna Fance, Jimmy Lee Blakely, Arthur Lee Blakely and James Monroe Thomas, Jr.; and her great grandchild Josephine Moore (John Gibbs).
