He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Frances Freeman Polite and Jessie Polite; his daughter Camie Lawrence; and his brother Tommy Polite. He is survived by: his wife Geleita Polite; his children, Daniel Polite, Jr. (Merlin), Carlton Polite (Brittany), Antoine Polite (Latisha), Jerchricia Polite and Indira Mahoney (Keith); his stepchildren, Darius McPhall, Denyel McPhall (Xavier Davis) and Larel Bruton (Brianna); and his parents-in-law, Lester and Dianne Culver. He is also survived by other grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
