He is survived by: his wife Geri; his children, John Wenzel and Tara Gherardi (Wenzel); his grandchildren, Lauren and Zachary Gherardi; his siblings, Wayne Wenzel and Margaret Kohl; and his in-laws, Paul, Dotti Urshan and Rena Young. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
