He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Bernice (Michaud-Merrifield); his parents, John Henry Tansey and Anna Tansey (Lafountain); his siblings, John, Ronnie and Teresea; his daughters, Christine Jevne (Carl) and Victoria Tanzi; his stepsons, Michael Merrifield and Gary J. Merrifield (Shelly); his great grandchildren, Rick Davis and Larry Kooi; and his niece Sue. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gulf Coast Church of Christ (6 Mile Cypress Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL 33966). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers you may donate to Liberty Youth Ranch, Gulf Coast Church of Christ or St. Matthews House in Joe's honor.
