He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Rivera and Belen Diaz; his sister Margery; and his nephew David. He is survived by: his wife Dina Rivera; his children, William Rivera of Fort Myers, FL, Margery Carapella (Damien) of Wesley Chapel, FL and David Rivera (Nikki) of Centerton, AR; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Nicole, Alexis, Christian and Nina. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery (1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907).
